New Wine in new Wineskins

And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine will burst the wineskins and be spilled, and the wineskins will be ruined.

But new wine must be put into new wineskins, and both are preserved.

The moment you catch the breadth and depth of the vision of Jesus for the Kingdom of God coming to earth, everything changes!

You are changed… And you become a change agent in the Ekklesia… And in the community!

The message of the coming of the Kingdom of Heaven here on earth challenges us to re-embrace our calling to follow Jesus at all costs!

The incredible growth of Christianity in the global south forces us in the global north to re-evaluate ourselves, our message, and our methods. Most importantly, it forces us to examine our hearts to ask, “What is God doing elsewhere, and why isn’t it also happening here among us?

Over the last twenty years, a great role reversal has begun. Rather than Western Christianity educating the non-West, disciples in Acts-like movements have been teaching the established Christian world what the Kingdom if God really looks like.

Frustration and dissatisfaction over broken ministry models and human-centred agendas have opened our ears to messages that hearken back to something that feels much more like the New Testament.

When we listen afresh to the Word of God speaking to us anew through His Spirit, making old, well known Scripture passages radically brand new, and seeing the Scriptural solutions illustrated by testimonies of transformed lives and communities on every continent, challenges us to shine a light on a path forward.

But as leaders we know, this new path will also cost a price - the price of our lives and personal agendas!
