Repent because the Kingdom of God is nearby.
It is breaking through here among us on earth… where we can see it and begin to experience it in our bodies.
Of course, it has not yet happened here in its entirety. No, what we have seen happening since Jesus' life on earth is only the first drops falling.
However, it is important to ask the Lord for eyes that can start to see some of this happening around us.
It is happening and we must take it into account and allow the reality of all of this to radically influence and even begin to change our way of thinking, living, and speaking.
Let it change you and even become your new paradigm; the starting point of your reasoning and from where you begin everything in your everyday life.
We already talked about this week after week for about four years in this series, Heaven on Earth!
Yes, we spoke about what it means if we believe that God, the Son, truly became man in the historical Jesus of Nazareth. Who was born on September 11, 3 BC, and truly was who He said He was, namely God who became man and Immanuel, God here among us on earth!
Can I ask you: Do you truly believe this or are you just saying that you believe it?
Do you realize what the real implications are if you truly believe this?
Do you realize that the Kingdom of heaven in Jesus Christ stepped in among us on this broken earth and something radically different began to happen here from that moment on?
Do you realize that if you truly believe this, then you and I can no longer live, speak, and think as we have always done and even some days still do?
Then we must look each other in the eye and say: Enough! Stop this! Things have to start changing! I have to change! I have to start doing things differently! I have to start thinking about this differently!
God himself has come to visit us here on earth! Immanuel was here!
He was not just here. He is here now because He is the new King on earth.
This earth and its people must hear and begin to experience that something new is happening because God's Kingdom is coming here.
God himself is busy with that.
After all, we pray: Our Father who art in heaven. Let Your name be sanctified. Let Your Kingdom come. Let Your will be done, as it is in heaven, so also here on earth, among us…
Jesus Christ is this earth and its people's new King!
He did not just visit the earth and its people almost 2000 years ago. No, He is still here among us.
Not just as the King. No, He is also the Baptist with the Spirit, who asked the Father to send His Spirit, God the Spirit, to come and work in each of His people who believe He is the new King and Lord.
But now, Jesus is not only Immanuel, God with us, but He has also come to live in each of us as God's people, in and through the Holy Spirit.
To now use us as ambassadors and witnesses of this Good News.
