Grace is where Jesus is King (part 3)

I continue to talk to you about “grace” in the context of the Kingdom of God that is coming here on earth. And specifically, to look at our reality and the world around us prophetically and sensitive to the voice of God's Spirit.

“Prophetically” means to me to realize that behind everything that you and I can see with our ordinary eyes, there is also another, invisible, reality.

That other, invisible reality becomes real to us when we are open to God's voice and to what God wants to reveal and show us in His presence.

It is with these spiritual “senses” that I want us to look at our lives and what is happening around us.

It is with these “senses” that I want us to look at, for example, our health, our finances, our marriage, our family, and our relatives, but also at what is happening around us in our community, our town, or out in the countryside, wherever you live and God has placed you.

It is with these “senses” that I want you to look “prophetically” at what is going on in the politics of the country you live in, but also at what is going on on the economic front, or in education, social media, or in the music world.

It is as if God wants to give each of us new glasses to look at our own lives and everything around us. And it will be these glasses that will help you to see a “grace side” in everything but also to realize that there is a “truth side” in everything.

Yes, did you hear? There is a right and a wrong. There is truth and there is the opinion of men.

Jesus Christ is the King, and His will and His Word are law and will reveal to us what is true and what is false, and what is right and what is wrong!

Let us now look with those eyes at the Jewish year, 5785, and at the year 2025.

I don’t know if you don’t know but every number in Hebrew is not only a number but also a letter that symbolizes something. So, as we have already said to each other, the number 5 represents the magnificent rainbow-colored grace of God. Similarly, the number 5 represents the Hebrew letter, “Hei”.

In the year, 5785, we also see the number 8. The Hebrew letter for the 8 in 80, is the letter “Pei” which symbolizes “the mouth”.

The Jewish year, 5785, therefore prophetically tells a story, namely of “God’s mouth/voice” speaking to us in all sorts of colorful ways about His grace (and truth) that is happening in and around us as His Kingdom is coming around us!

I want to conclude this section with the words of Eph. 5:15 to 17.

“Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.”

Do I need to explain in detail what I believe these verses mean to you and me today?

I don’t think so. Just listen to what God’s Spirit wants to say to you, there in your practical situation and reality.

All I want to emphasize in conclusion is the following:

“Redeem the time!”

Start looking “prophetically” at why and how God has placed you where He has placed you.

Look prophetically at what is happening now, today, tomorrow, and this year, in your and your family’s lives. Why does the Lord open the doors that He opens, and why does He close the doors that He closes?

What is He telling you about His will for your life right now?

What is He telling you about how He wants to use you and what He is blessing you with now?

Listen to what God’s Spirit wants to say to you.

Then, respond in obedience and in faith.
