A Healthy Life

“By changing our minds, we really can change our lives,” asserts Dr. Coral Arvon, Director of Behavioral Health and Wellness at the Pritikin Longevity Center in Miami.

Writes Dr. Barsky: “We ‘burn’ with anger, ‘tremble’ with fear, feel ‘choked up’ with sadness; our ‘stomachs turn’ with revulsion. Everyone tends to experience unpleasant emotions as unpleasant bodily symptoms and thus to feel physically distressed when emotionally distressed.”

That’s the bad news, teaches lifestyle experts like Dr. Coral Arvon, Director of Behavioral Health and Wellness at the Pritikin Longevity Center in Miami, Florida.

The good news is that we have the power to change negative thoughts and feelings into positive, rational, motivating thoughts, and in doing so, help create a healthy mind in a healthy body.

This transformation, which is part of emerging fields in psychology focused on mind-body health, is very important because it can greatly boost our chances of achieving what we want in life, including a fitter, healthier lifestyle.

“By changing our minds, we really can change our lives,” asserts Dr. Arvon.

I also believe that we are Ambassadors of the Kingdom of Heaven here on earth.

Jesus was very clear about what our calling is.

Matthew 10:7,8 - As you go, preach this message: The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, raise the dead, and cleanse those who have leprosy. Drive out demons from the possessed. You received these gifts freely, so you should give them to others freely.

Better Relationships

John 13:34,35 - So I give you a new command: Love each other deeply and fully. Remember the ways that I have loved you, and demonstrate your love for others in those same ways. Everyone will know you as My followers if you demonstrate your love to others.

Do you know what metaphor for the church dominates the New Testament?

It’s the family.

The writings of Paul, Peter, and John in particular are punctuated with the language and imagery of family.

Consider the following examples:

Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. (Gal. 6:10)

For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. (Rom. 8:29)

Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God’s people and members of God’s household. (Eph. 2:19)

Can you think what will happen in your life if you decide to love others as you love yourself!

  • In your marriage or your relationship with your love one
  • In your family - father, mother, siblings, kids, grandparents, other family members
  • In all of your friendships
  • In your business, or at work, where you study
  • In your neighbourhood
  • In your town or city
  • n your country
  • On your continent
  • In the world

Creating Wealth

Luke 16:9 - "Realize that the purpose of money is to strengthen friendships, to provide opportunities for being generous and kind. Eventually money will be useless to you—but if you use it generously to serve others, you will be welcomed joyfully into your eternal destination."

The Scripture is very clear that money and other blessings in the lives of God’s people are there as part of God’s total provision in their lives and the lives of their loved ones, through the work they do faithfully and diligently every day, for six days a week, where and whatever they felt God told them to do as part of their specific calling and destiny as Ambassadors of the Kingdom of heaven here on earth.

But on the other hand, an important part of loving God the Father, King Jesus and the Holy Spirit, will be practically caring and loving one another in the Body of Christ.

2 Tim. 2:20-21 (Amplified Bible)

“But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also [utensils] of wood and earthenware, and some for honorable andnoble [use] and some for menial and ignoble [use].

So whoever cleanses himself [from what is ignoble and unclean, who separates himself from contact with contaminating and corrupting influences] will [then himself] be a vessel set apart and useful for honorable and noble purposes, consecrated and profitable to the Master, fit and ready for any good work.”

Are you surprized by what God is telling us?

Wealth is available to the “whoever”.

This is the door to enter the mystery of wealth creation.

You have to go through this door. If you don’t absorb this truth and own it through faith, the rest of this teaching will sound like a garbled transmission from outer space.

We have the authority in Christ to be kings. If you can receive that in faith, it will be so for you.

Accept the fact that there is sufficient kingly authority residing in you in latent form to judge angels; how much more is it true in economic affairs on earth?

But this is obtained by faith.

May this teaching stir your faith to live a more abundant life in every way in Christ.
